APPEAL OF ADMISSION CRITERIA

A student who does not meet the established admission criteria may appeal to TEARAC to begin internship or residency below the set criteria, with five exceptions: 

  1. A student may not appeal to begin an internship placement if they have not completed a successful interview that resulted in a confirmed placement. 

  2. A student may not appeal a “Departmental review and approval to interview or interview and begin internship.”

  3. A student may not appeal a low GPA.

  4. A student may appeal a grade below a “C” only if

    1. the student’s overall GPA is 2.50 or above and
    2. if the student’s department gives written approval for the student to appeal to TEARAC.
  5. A student may not appeal a low Basic Skills Requirement score (Reading, Writing, or Math).
